Flexible workflow:
Other packages do not allow variations in their pre-programmed way of doing things. With HardCopy Pro Plus, if you want to do all the Excel files first, you can do that.

Better re-work capabilities:
For example you can choose to process all the .doc files that were not already imaged. You can easily re-image subsets of the data set and create a new export. Our "Project Files" wizard allows you to easily select subsets of data based on file extension, imaging status, etc.

Better analyzing capabilities:
For example, you can choose to process files one by one if you want to—other packages will process a directory or entire email folder, without giving you statistics or ability to see and choose which entries to process. You can choose by file type. You can also analyze on the e-mail folder and attachment level.

Sophisticated Deduplication:
Flexible de-duplication with user-defined document comparison criteria. You can compare different subsets and custodians, dedup across or within the same custodian. You can even re-duplicate.

Use Native Applications or Plug-Ins:
You can use native applications so the output looks exactly as the original document (the other side of litigation won’t say “this is not the original document”), and you can also use Stellent’s Quick View Plus, which shows over 200 different file types without needing the native application. Some EDD packages only have the Stellent toolkit (which does not always show the files exactly as the native application, and can miss important information such as dates and numbers). Some packages only use native applications.

Better formatting features:
Formats .xls and other file types for better presentation, and to reduce or eliminate manual formatting

Open standard:
Does not tie you into it’s own internal database or retrieval system. You can export to any popular retrieval system, or to standard comma-delimited files

Customization:
Extractiva regularly makes requested changes, typically in a few weeks or less. (Some other companies are not even willing to make changes)
